Mike Schierman, CHP

Mike is a founding member of the business and has over 25 years of experience in health physics as it applies to uranium mill license applications, characterization and remediation of radioactively contaminated sites, and radiological dose evaluation. Mike has served as the Radiation Safety Officer for a uranium mill site which is also a CERCLA site and as Remediation Leader for large chemical manufacturing company. Mike has developed, implemented, and managed a radiological protection and environmental monitoring program for a large, complex CERCLA site. For the past 14 years, Mike has worked as a consultant to the nuclear industry and has been involved in projects related to licensing through decommissioning of nuclear facilities.

With a background in health physics and environmental health, Jess Joyce brings four years of experience in radiation protection and compliance with DOE, NRC, and State regulations. Jess specializes in MARSSIM-based planning, analysis, and reporting. Currently, Jess works remotely out of Rochester, Minnesota.

As a recent graduate from Colorado State University, Jordan earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Health, and brings academic experience related to public health research, exposure science and environmental health sampling.

Elon Omalia

Elon has a broad background as an environmental scientist, working primarily at petroleum-contaminated groundwater and soil reclamation and monitoring sites. He has over 10 years of experience with GIS (geographic information systems) and an extensive work history with relational databases used for data management, analysis, and presentation, as well as logistic support for field sampling. Currently at H3 Environmental, he is responsible for spatial and non-spatial data standardization, presentation, and storage, along with a sizable amorphous list of miscellaneous tasks and duties.”
